Suggestions Required for Argyll jacket
I am currently in both a budget and a time sensitive scenario for getting a jacket. I have decided to go with a charcoal grey tweed argyll as I believe this will offer me the best versatility. (This would be my first kilt jacket) Comments are welcome on this subject as well.
The main thing is I do want something that is decent quality, but again working on a budget. I have been looking around and fro what I gather, you can get a jacket and waistcoat from Hector Russell for 150 pounds, and you CAN select the arm length, coat length and chest size.... this is especially important for me because I have disproportionately long arms. Normally I'd have to get something made to measure for it to fit properly...I must say they sell it as a "daywear jacket" so not sure it's identical to an argyll but it seems close enough. Anywho that by far is the best price I have found... does anyone know of anything better for something that is made to measure or allows you to specify a sleeve length?

I got my Grey Argyll jacket from Hector Russell here in Toronto, their website is:
www.kiltscanada.com
I was able to get it as an ex rental, perhaps they could help you out, the good thing would be as they are in Canada duties should not apply.
