Hello..some tech help needed.
Hello, I am new here. I don't mean to impose but my son is a member here and I am looking for all Scottish/kilted help I can get. And since he mentioned this site as a place where he gets lots of info on kilts and Scottish things, I figured I'd give it a shot!
My son, RamsayClanCommish is in school to be a barber. He hopes to have a Scottish flair and as a gift to him I am trying to make him business cards on my computer so he can promote himself. He has a favorite image..the one from his high school whose mascot was the Hilanders. But it is purple and for the life of me I cant make it black.
Can anyone take this and make it black and post it?

Or if anyone has any similar images that would look sharp on a business card...I would appreciate the advice. Thanks for letting me butt in!

Thanks Chas
It's what I've been doing for 20 odd years now, it's really not rocket science or anything, just knowing Adobe products that's all.
PS
Is it just me or does he look like a young Marlon Brando?

I think you might be right, Glen - there's something about the mouth. I wonder where the image originally came from.

I read the post from RedheadedScottishMother and thought "Glen could do that", and there you were.
It's not just your enviable computer skills Glen but you are always there and ready to help.
It is all the knowledge and skills on this site and peoples willingness to share them that makes xmarks such a great place.
So thank you Glen and a general thank you to everyone else.
Peter

I guess the surprise is gone...lol.
Actually, to answer the question of where the image came from, it was a change for our High School mascot. Previously it had been more of a cartoony Scot with a cane, a tam, and a winking eye. But in 1986 (my senior year), the class ring company put this image on our rings. The school and the senior class liked it adn so a vote was taken to use it as our mascot and replace the older fellow. If i can provide a link to the last image, you can vote on which is best.
But I really liked this and wanted to show my Scot pride in my future (God please get me through school) career.
BTW....my mom is a bit of a nudge at times...but she has a heart of gold.
