That would be my query about 4 year ago to find a copy of said documentary. So far I have had no luck in finding one.

Seems a copy in the Pop Culture Library at Bowling Green U is one of the few, or only, to be found. . . (and there are others in search of it). Perhaps an enterprising XMarker in the area could check this out, figuratively and literally?

Seems a copy in the Pop Culture Library at Bowling Green U is one of the few, or only, to be found. . . (and there are others in search of it). Perhaps an enterprising XMarker in the area could check this out, figuratively and literally?

This is exactly why I no longer go on eBay, because I would have spent a lot of money for three reels I couldn't play.

Thanks for the help lads. I talked to the seller of the reels and he is fresh out. To make matters worse, they were sold around my birthday, if only I had looked! I know of a place that would've transferred the film reels for me, and would be glad to make copies if anyone needed them.

The cinematography of Ireland is just downright fascinating. No cheesy reinactments, must very well told stories by Irish lords and residents, and the narrator's spooky voice.

The hunt is on. Anyone know any students at Bowling Green University?

I talked to my boss at the library, and he is very familiar with BGU's Pop Culture Collection, as he applied for a position there years ago. He told me that the possibility of interlibrary loan is nil, and he doubts that they will even check the video out to a BGU student -- they might to faculty, but even then, since it is part of a special collection, and a donated one too boot, it may be unlikely.

And I agree 100% with your description of the documentary. The Black Cat of Killakee and the Devil visiting Castletown House were the two stories that I enjoyed the most.

Yes, and the Killakee story I believe also had the story of the child ghost with the monstrous head. I also remember the dwarf who guarded an old castle (beautiful cinematography), the monolithic tomb that when touched caused a foul stench that priests had to exorcise, and the story of Grace O'Malley the sea queen pirate.

Also a bit of history on the Book Of Cells, and at least one loch monster at the end of the movie.
