    Doublet Buttons

I am delighted to see that Scotweb is now offering a line of enamelled buttons for doublets. While I have not seen them in person, they look to be very well made, and certainly are a welcome change from the ubiquitous buttons most people have.

It is nice to see something different offered. I'm not too sure about the red ones. The closeup photo doesn't appeal to me. Now the copper colored were nice, but not sure how they would fit in a formal setting. And the "gold" colored, at first I was thinking that might be a bit over the top. But then traditional, formal highland attire is all about being over the top.

As soon as I can figure out what I want, I am changing my buttons. And they will not be square.

    Well spotted Sandy!

This is just the sort of little touch that gives one's PC coatee that extra bit of flair which allows one to stand out in the crowd without being gaudy.

    X Markers, take note!

How do you say, "I like those!" in Gaelic?

Nick, if you're reading this, I'd be willing to accept a set of the fluted copper Argyll buttons on a permanent loan basis.

they look rather nice the enameling could've been done a wee bit better but they certainly would look nice to freshen up a jacket and vest
