Winter Wonderland
Woke up to more snow on the ground and it has been snowing steadily ever since. A Nice heavy wet snow. I'm staying home from school today, it's not worth dealing with idiot drivers on the mountain. About six inches at the house, other places have close to eight. Forcasts are calling for up to 13-16 inches by tonight.

"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Still lightly snowing. Roughly 12-14 inches so far. They are calling for 1-4 inches in El Paso TX tonight. That will be fun to watch people drive in.....

Great pics! I love the stillness, the sounds, the wind, the atmosphere when there has been a heavy snowfall. Enjoy!
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.
