The Multi-Jones
This is a warning to those who make too many overlapping kilt related purchases, all with some degree of delay in delivery (kilts that need fabric woven custom, handsewn kilts in some highly prized kiltmaker's queue, anything ordered from overseas, etc...). Beware the Multi-jones, where you suddenly find yourself jonesing simultaneously for that clearance kilt from Scotweb (waiting shipment for some other item ordered along with it), that custom weave kilt from tartanweb ordered way back in the spring, the kingussie kilt and two pairs of custom hose ordered from Keltoi a couple months ago, the 18oz super heavyweight Black Watch tartan ordered off ebay from the UK still in transit after 3 weeks, and the custom handsewn in that very special Allen 1996 tartan that was custom woven a year ago and only recently sent off to its artisan for final kilt construction. Oh, and the Sterling silver clan badge Matt coerced me into ordering with such fantastic price AND free shipping last weekend.
I wonder why I have been so edgy lately---these are the first significant kilt purchases I have made since sending fabric off at the beginning of the year to Barb T and Bonnie Heather for custom handsewns, both of which came in early summer.
Although the multi-jones can be a bit nerve wracking, as you get the occasional mail notice of a package waiting requiring your signature, and you spend the next whole day wondering which one it could be, it can also be a pleasant surprise finding out which one it actually is----WHEN IT ARRIVES.
Beware the Multi-Jones, it is a double edged sword of discomfort and joy. I must again learn the "all things in moderation" rule and begin applying it ASAP to my kilt habit.

I think they have groups to help with that.

Yes I know the feeling:-
A multi Jones for three kilts:-
Paisley Pattern fun kilt
When I posted pics of my Paisley tartan kilt someone on here suggested Paisley pattern and I commissioned Astrid Olafsen of Sillikilts to create a kilt for me in Paisley pattern. She has been very busy of late and I have now been jonesing for this for several months.
Weathered Hunting Cunningham box pleat
I had been jonesing for this one from Lady Chrystel for a few weeks but it arrived this morning and I am about to post pics.
Isle of Skye/Skye Isles 5 yard
A tartan which had been on my wants list for a year or two, then you, ForresterModern, finally tempted me to part with my money by posting a link to the Scotland Kilt Company who offered a 5-yard wool kilt in this tartan at a good price and suddenly I was jonesing for three kilts at the same time. I eagerly anticipate the arrival of this one, I visited their shop in Edinburgh on Monday but it is not ready yet.
