SGF Burns Night
A bump for new member frae SW MO!
Just a note about this year's entertainment:
"Sangs & clatter" will be provided by Caven Clark and The Crooked Creek Ceili Band from Harrison, Arkansas. Caven and the band have lined up a great program of Burns songs, pipe & fiddle tunes. Caven's wife Eileen will be leading Scottish Country and Ceilidh dancing following the formal part of the evening.
Pipers Jay and Lucinda Goetz of the John Ford Highland Pipe band in St. Louis will also be playing; Lucinda is a former Central High School "Kilty" in Springfield.
Our Immortal Memory will be given by William Nicholl of the Scottish St. Andrew's Society of Greater St. Louis; Bill is a native of Fofar and attended the University of St. Andrews, where he preformed in a theatre troupe with noted Burnsians John Cairney and Andrew Keir.
Yours aye,
Todd

Robert and Cathie Ryder, who are members of my clan association, Clan Lockhart, will be giving the toasts to the lasses and lads at this event. I would appreciate someone there taking some pics of them and posting them here, so I won't be the only one wearing the tartan here. Thanks!

I'll make sure someone does! Robert and Cathie are some of our most enthusiastic and hardest-working members of our society! We're lucky to have them.

I'm glad to know that. Thanks, Todd.
I just read about their involvement in the Burns Supper today in our clan newsletter. Robert's the editor thereof, and I hope to meet the two of them some day.
