I've been coming to Sedona, Arizona since 1973 but usually just sort of blast through town on business, or a surgical shopping mission. At best a quick overnight and on the road again.

Just spent five days there and had a chance to explore a lot more.

This is the V Bar V Ranch petroglyph site, a very large petroglyph panel. Its near Sacred Mountain, a site of a Southern Sinagua pueblo. Even today there were folks setting up sweat lodge near Sacred Mountain - a holy place to many.

Here's a pic from near the Sedona Airport which is also near a "vortex" that draws so many new age folk the parking lot for the trail is always jammed. That's Sedona in the background.

Here's a "come on in" display for the local UFO store. Aliens are big in the area...outer space aliens that is...

Here's a pic of Oak Creek near the center of Sedona. Oak Creek runs into the Verde River which runs into the Salt River which runs into my beloved Colorado River.

Many positive comments on the kilt, met interesting folks because of the kilt.
