Tucson Burns Night pub crawl
Who's up for a bit of a pub crawl on Saturday night to celebrate Rabbie Burns?
The missus & I are probably attending the Burns Dinner (see the thread in the other Kilt Nights section) put on by the Scottish Society, but that should wind up fairly early.
Maybe some knocking about downtown/4th Avenue is called for? Who's in?

I just got out of the hospital this morning, so I doubt I'll be up for much crawling... but I'd be happy to meet y'all at the beginning of the evening an lift a pint.

Bump.
We'll be at the Shanty (4th & 9th) at 8:30-ish or so, right after the Burns Dinner winds up. Come on down, all!

Pub crawl
Well boyo's nobody showed up except one soul. However, much to the disgruntlment of the girlfriend, he received MORE than his fair share of attention from the fairer sex. Had a blast, sorry ya'll missed out.

Sorry about that. I meant to come, but by 8, I had hit the wall. Since the heart attack, I just don't have energy... and that's a sad thing to say at my age!

Sorry, gaueight -
The Burns Dinner went on faaaaarrrr longer than I expected it would. Most of the poetry & entertainment was quite nice, but there were some rather long gaps in the evening.
Got down there at 9:30/10-ish. Bartenders told me 'some guy in a kilt' had just left.
We've got to get some sort of kilt night together here boys. It's been too long since we've had a decent turnout.
MacDougall - stay healthy!

I'll have my first kilt by March (as long as there are no postal issues from Scottland). I'd like to meet up at one after that.

It's not absolutely required to wear a kilt, as long as you have a dram of whisky or something ; )
