    ...the haggis burrito!



    Yes... that is in fact haggis, eggs, and cheese, wrapped in a tortilla. My son got all experimental with the weekends leftovers- and it was pretty darned good!

    Burrito....good.

    It's not that far from my all-time favourite burrito, the "Oregon" burrito. Taxonomically, the Oregon burrito grows out of the Los Angeles tradition of "Carne Asada Fries" which is the old carne asada (marinated cooked beef) turned over a plate of french fries with salsa fresca and cheese. So it's Carne Asada Fries in a tortilla.

    Substitute oats for the potatoes, and ta-da, the haggis burrito. I like that idea. Somehow I figure this group *would* have leftover haggis that needed to be used up. (and enough of it that simply having haggis leftovers wouldn't take care of it...)

    Mmm...I'm gonna make EXTRA haggis this year! :mrgreen:

    That has to be better than the deep fried haggis and chips I had once in Oban, Scotland.
