    Post Iron age hoard on display

    here is wee piece about the iron age hoard found in stirlingshire,
    they have finally been put on display in Edinburgh at the National Museum of Scotland for the next three weeks
    so anyone lucky enough to be there during the next three weeks should go have a peek at them while they can
    and for those who cant make it there is a wee video for you to view on the site

    Is this a different horde than the Staffordshire horde? It's pretty cool that so much is coming to light.

    Yes, this is a different find -- "only" four pieces of jewelry, where the Staffordshire find contained no jewelry at all. Interesting read, skauwt, thanks!

    yes this horde was from Stirlinghire Scotland a fair wee bit away from Staffordshire England ,
    its amazing what these guys find though im split in two about metal detectorists granted they find some great items but on the other hand alot of valuable archeology has been lost from those who loot the items rather than let the specialists know where they found them........ but i guess not all metal detectorist are like that as the story goes to show
