I Got my Tartan today! Red Ulster

I am going to California...whoo Hoo! Warm weather! For Elsie's kilt making class next month and i got my Tartan from D.C. Dalgliesh today ( almost a 3 week wait with customs)
I gotta tell you all, the tartan is so beautiful! my boyfriend said "Ooh, that is nice. I would love to have a kilt in that" .....FYI ....if your girlfriend is a kilt making nut....he already has a few.
But I want to share...in case i am not alone....this is the first time I have bought from Scotland (Elsie's advice for class) I usually buy what resembles tartan from ebay.....sometimes good, sometimes bad.
I paid U.S.A. money $98.00 for 4 yards by 56"= an 8 yard kilt, including shipping, which was $23 to Maine
I made a kilt last year with Maine dirago tartan and it was $50 a yard (The Saint andrews Society had it woven) so I know that was special. But I just want to put it out there.....it is not always $50 bucks a yard or more like I thought to get "The good stuff"
