Please see the announcement on the portal page about this problem and the other posts in this section.
I know that we are currently experiencing a problem of some sort. Not only you are having a problem staying logged on. It is happening to me too.
The folks at vBulletin say that it is cause by someone staying logged on in excess of 8 hours. This causes the software to attempt to lessen the workload by logging everyone off.
That sounds pretty thin an explanation to me.
I have my code guy working on this and hope to have it fixed soon.

The code guy, good though he undoubtably is, is taking some time to resolve the issue. It seems that we are logged off mid post... Or maybe my posts are just excessively long. Haven't managed 8 hours for a composition yet, though I am working on it.

Me Too, Here's a work around
I've been having the same problem.
As a work around, I right click on the text of the message I'm getting ready to send, and then click on copy.
That way if I get logged out I can open up again and then paste the message back in.
Bit of extra work, but saves retyping the message.

Yeah, I'm getting tagged with it, too. It lets me finish composition, then asks me to re-login to post it. Not too big an aggravation, as aggravations go.
We'll hope for a solution. Not like we've all stopped posting.

Happens to me too.
I have been able to stay logged in longer if I check the 'remember me' box when I log in, but eventually, I'll get bumped off.

I am not having this problem at all. It might be useful to know what browser you are using and which release and whether you are on dial up, DSL or T1 line and who your ISP is in case there is some common thread here.
