An update on the changes to the site.

Hi Folks,

Some of you may have noticed a few small changes to the look of the site today.

As you know, We have had some problems with the site over the past couple of weeks. Members will get logged out and glitches were creeping in.

I had had a vBulletin expert looking over the site during this time and he believes he has found many of the problems.
So today, with only about 5 min. notice, an upgrade to the site was done.
Many of the conflicting templates were removed and some of the problems corrected.

He is continuing to work through the weekend.

I am going to ask all our members to please post to this thread any problems that they experience for the next 72 hours.

I know that our logo is missing and I know that the little "thread read", "New Post" icons are missing from the left side.

What I'm asking you for are problems being logged off unexpectedly or the forum freezing up on you. That sort of thing.

These fixes are also in preparation to a major upgrade to the look of the forum. I have been trying to get this work done almost since I took over the forum and it is finally going to become a reality.
Please stay tuned for the official announcement. I think you will like the new look.

Sounds exciting! So far, no real problems... I did experience some serious lag loading the site about 30 mins ago but I very well may have been trying to log on DURING the upgrade... Can't wait to see the new site!

Got logged off today after being on yesterday (with the 'Remember Me' in effect). Could have been from my antivirus software wiping out the XMarks cookie, but maybe not.

had to log back on after being on earlier in the day. Seemed a bit unusual.

Ron, the little red x's are missing graphics. We are still uploading those from the database to the new template.

Star, the reason everyone needed to log in is that when we changed the templates all the cookies were dumped. This was done to prevent spammers from using the 'remember me' feature. Your cookies should work from now on.

I was logged out when trying to post five minutes ago (in connection with including an image). I had to log in and start all over again.
