The Sheriff of Muiringham?
Pardon my levity. I have been viewing the culture wars over on the thread discussing Prince Edward's visit to Greenville, SC. I recently spotted this item on eBay and have decided it is probably too small for me:

Wonderful..Everyone who already had this on their ebay "watch list" is loving you right now... can you feel it? Just kidding...No, really, I am...

I just scored a Montrose that was described as a HIGHLAND JACKET. It came with a belt that might have easily cost more than my final bid for the whole lot. I have mine now. It is somebody else's turn.
Cordially,

David, as much as I like MacLowlife, that's the second doublet I've had my eye on that he's posted up on here ()
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

It's too small for me too,
and I want a black one, not blue.

feeling the love....
It's a bit like Gun Control. I don't need another, so I don't care what happens to yours.
I am only joking, too.
I am glad the rest of you were looking at it. Now you know who the loyal opposition is. If you see anything truly odd in a 42R, do let me know.

How about a British Victorian army officers frock coat? PM me if wealthy and interested, otherwise it will go on ebay.

If I see something in a 42R, I'll probably be bidding on it :P
And I wouldn't mind finding out more about that frock coat...

I would love to own an officers frock coat but alas, they don't make British Victorian officers in my size.

Actually...it depends on the jacket...I tend to be more of a 43-44...so I think you're safe Strings and MacLL!!

I run into the 44 range myself sometimes.
BTW: another nice jacket for the kilt is the Ike style. I'll get some pics up soon...
