With Brian Wilton's special permission ( Scottish Tartans Authority) here is an article that just came out about Lady Chrystel's last brainstorming... enjoy

A very good article, Robert, and a testament to Lady Chrystel's expertise and artistry. I really like the Culloden Muted!

Fascinating. I would love to hear more about the difference between traditional and Kingussie knife-pleats while sitting from the wearers perspective.

Thanks for the article. I've made two RKs with the thinner pleats. They are wonderful to wear. I've worn them several times and have found them to just fit right. The first one I made of what I call North American Estate Tweed (denim) and I wear it quite often. The second I made of County Clare tartan and it is just wonderful to wear and I'm told swings very well. I've tested each of them in SCD and they dance well. Love to share with others who are interested in making them concerning some interesting issues especially with tartan.
