greathighlandwear.com--crooks ???
Hey guys, has anyone had any recent transactions with these people. I ordered some band kit (2 full plaids,6 leather pouches & 6 green hackles) in November 2009. I paid them $494.00 & sent a tartan sample. it is now 5 months later !! & after numerous emails to Shahid Ahmed in the service dept. & threats to report them to the internet crime center in the US, they finally repsonded 2 weeks ago & told me my package would be shipped in 3-4 days. I asked for a tracking number 3 times & No response. On Friday 23rd of April i sent my last email & said that if i had no resonse or tracking number in the next 48hours ,that i would report them to IC3-the internet crime center, what do you guys think, should i give them any more chances or pull the trigger??? I would really like to hear from anyone who has had dealings with these guys.......Cheers.

Initially, I was going to purchase a Caubeen, but decided not to because of their payment method. They kept hounding me about payment, even after I cancelled the order and stated my reasons. A few days ago, I received an email from them stating that they will, now, accept Paypal.
They're located in Pakistan, so one has to decide if that's a good option.

Searching for "great highland wear" on the forum returns 3 pretty informative threads about them. The Search feature can be accessed from the menu at the top, under the photo.

I posted my experience with them in a previous thread. Short story, order a couple bonnets to try them out as a vendor, payed by paypal, waited nearly a month, no response to multiple email inquiries via multiple routes, filed a complaint and request for reimbursement with Paypal, they investigated and got no response fro Greathighlandwear, paypal refunded me, then two weeks later greathighlandwear emailed me saying they were ready to ship my order but had to pay again by paypal, I refused. End of Story.
One giant thumbs down for Greathighlandwear.com, regardless of where they SAY their business is run from.

That's not a useful address. Without a number, it just raises my shields.
If memory serves, there is a SOUTH Clifton AV in Bloomington, which used to be a residential area. Close to IU, so it may have commercialized a bit since my time. Color me suspicious.
