Contemporary Kilt Finish with name
Here is my custom kilt. I started with the XKilt instructions but stopped following them about half way through when I felt they were not clear enough. I think it turned out OK. I used my sewing machine to do some embroidery as well. Tell me what you think.

The only sugestion I could make is perhaps to make the fell a bit longer, so that the pleats fall straight from that line, as the outline of the kilt is slightly flared rather than the classic straight shape below the hips.
Other than that minor point it looks very well made.

Wow! Looks great, good job! The embroidery is really nice looking and a nice touch.
I'm with pleater on the fell, a couple more inches down and that thing will be smashing!
