Dhani Jones tackles the Globe: Scotland

Dhani Jones is an NFL football player who has this TV show where he goes around the world and tries out different sports. If you search YouTube, you can find shorts from some of his previous exploits...crewing on an America's Cup yacht, working out with a British Rugby team, cycling long distance in Italy, playing Pelota in Spain, and climbing a Himalayan mountain have been other episodes.

Well, Dhani Jones takes on the Highland Games in the episode coming up soon. Apparently Gregor Edmonds is his coach....helluva coach!

Here's a short "Sneak Peek" on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5UhpXUElNA

He actually gets a pretty good pull on a darned big stick in that short. I think the episode airs on May 24th. At 8:00 PM Pacific Time in the USA.

Looks like he didn't do too bad for his first attempts. Nice to see that he did a pretty good job of wearing the kilt too. I've seen the commercials for this show, will have to set the TIVO to record it.

Hope he was better at this than his tackling when he played LB for the Eagles...

Just watched the episode this evening that I had recorded last night. I thought they did a pretty good job on the show of explaining the events and some of the customs of the Games to the uninitiated. Dhani wore the kilt pretty good too. Was interesting to see the hoards of midges pestering him too.
