The Kilted Nation
While I attended the Frederick Celtic Festival several weekends ago, I stopped by The Kilted Nation tent and was talking to Brad, a super guy. I happen to notice their PV kilts and was very impressed. So, I'm wanteing to buy one now. I see on their site that they hem the kilt, for an extra charge, to meet one's desired length.
So, my question is: has anyone done business with them, and more importantly, what is their PV kilt material like? Any input is appreciated.

I have not bought one of their kilts, but I have bought several UK's from the Kilted Nation, and Brad is fantastic to work with.

Brad is excellent to work with. My son-in-law has a Black Watch kilt from him and I have bought several items.

I bought a Heritage of Scotland kilt from them. Very good quality for an inexpensive, knock-around kilt. Service was fast, I got what I wanted, and I'd buy from them again.

I've never met Brad personally, but I have emailed back and forth with him a little and he seemed nice. From those who have met him personally, I hear he is a nice guy. Their PV kilts are imported from Pakistan and China. Quality is similar to Stillwater and Frugal Corner.

I have bought several UK's from Brad and yes, he is a super guy! He contracts Tang's alterations in Manassas, VA to do his alterations http://www.tangsalterations.com/. She and her crew are amazing tailors, they hemmed all of my UK's from 23 to 21.25" and you cannot tell at all. Also, I bought a Hamilton Gray PV from Brad's shop and I love it. I have some pics of it in my gallery.

Thanks to all that responded. I'll probably contact Brad today. Antonio, you pushed me over the edge!

I used to frequent the Kilted Nation quite a bit when the shop was in Manassas. I can vouch for both Brad and Tangs alterations. I've had 3 kilts altered by Tang's and the work was excellent. Brad of course, is as nice as everyone says.

TKN is now rather closer to me since they moved, and yet I haven't been there yet. I don't think they had their own PV kilts the last time I looked at their website, so all the more reason that I should pay them a visit.
TKN are now located a mere stone's throw from where the Ballyshaners Irish Festival takes place each August, but they hadn't moved there by the time it took place last year. I intend to go to that again this year, and I'm curious whether they will close that day and put up a stand at the festival or whether they will just put up signs pointing to their store! It's so close it would practically be an extension of the festival.
