Custom-Run of Hunting MacMillan in Reproduction Colors
I'm going to have a custom-run of heavyweight Hunting MacMillan tartan woven in the Reproduction colors by D. C. Dalgliesh. There's another couple folks who seem to be interested as well. We're probably 2 kilt lengths (4 DW yards of tartan each) short of having enough yardage to have it woven double-width for the same price as single-width. If you're interested in more details or getting in on the order please PM me. This is an image of what the tartan looks like:

That looks familiar.
I'm looking forward to seeing the kilts made from this run.

That's a lovely bit of tartan there and I've got some MacMillans back in the family tree...but the most recent kilt just arrived last week.
Good luck with joneses to come...I look forward to pics of the final kilts!

Is that a Lochcarron sample David? The Dalgleish Reproduction MacDonald I have uses chocolate brown in stead of the black.

No, it's a Dalgliesh sample, but it's an older sample when Dalgliesh was using a very, very dark chocolate brown which appears as black in this scan. Their "reproduction colors" have changed subtly over the years; the color they use for yellow now is really more of an olive green, instead of the gold-ish color shown in this swatch. I have actual fabric swatches that I'm planning to send them so that the colors they use will match the older colors, which I find much more attractive.
Cordially,
David

Thanks for the clarification. Nice to know they can be that accommodating.
