    This one is for me

I am trying out a new sporran pattern. Military style with a twist.

    Does it need tassels?

Leave the tassels off. IMHO. I do like tassels, but on this sporran, it would be too much.

I like the two-tone lacing on the bag. Any reason why you went with a solid lacing on the flap? On second thought, the use of both styles does seem to pull the whole dark and light colors together...never mind.

Very nice Donnie. Visually, I think the braided lacing on the front of the bag takes the place of tassels. The front of the sporran may get kind of busy with braiding if you added them.

I sure like that lid design too. It seems like I have seen that somewhere before....

Leave the tassels off. They may obscure that great clasp. Love your color choices.

My vote - no tassels. They would distract from the nice tool work on the cover.

Ditto. No tassels. That would be too much. It has a nice balance of simple empty space which makes that awesome lacing stand out.

    Very very nice work.

I also think you should not use tassels. I think the plainness of the bottom accentuates the detail work of the top. Sometimes less really is more.
