A cancellation meant that I was able to get a Teviot Wheels vehicle for personal use today and I arranged to take Ann out in the afternoon to Lochcarron Visitor Centre, which is a fifteen minute drive from the care home where she lives.

Ann at the highland stag topiary. The topiary is much greener on the other side, from which you would also get the Lochcarron sign in the photo, but this side offered the best lighting conditions for a photo.

Inside the visitor centre. It is worth pointing out that the factory closes at lunchtime on Fridays for the weekend so the factory tour cannot be taken on a Friday afternoon, so you need to plan your visit to ensure that you won't miss the factory tour.

The old Selkirk branch railway ran along behind the Lochcarron Visitor Centre until it closed in 1958. Here Ann is on the old trackbed adjacent to Level Crossing Road, and behind her is the old crossing keeper's cottage. A railway style clock has been installed and you can just make out the black weather vane above gate pillar which takes the shape of a steam locomotive silhouette.
That's all folks.
