Houston Area Sci-Fi Convention
I thought I'd let any of the Houston area crew that are Sci-Fi fans know that our local convention, ApolloCon, is coming up this weekend. It's a three day event- June 25th-27th 2010 at the DoubleTree Hotel near the Houston Intercontinental Airport.
More info; http://www.apollocon.org/index.html
I'll be on hand hosting the Starbase Houston Trivia Challenge on Saturday afternoon, so if you have some Sci-Fi trivia skills come on down and try for one of these cool thophies!
Tell your friends, Come on out and get your geek on! It's too hot outside anyways!
Order of the Dandelion, The Houston Area Kilt Society, Bald Rabble in Kilts, Kilted Texas Rabble Rousers, The Flatcap Confederation, Kilted Playtron Group.

Your Sci-Fi convention is a little far for me to go. Here I am all dressed for Star Trek Sci-Fi and no where to go. Ok Scotty beam me up. I have the alien gear.

While neither a Trekkie, or a Trekker, I do love the kilt pin. Now if the sporran was the tri-corder, that would be over-the-top awesome!

I'd know that tartan anywhere!
Clue: It's not the Scottish-American tartan and it has a large following on this forum.
Great kilt pin! Is it worn to Starfleet standards?

The kilt is a semi-traditional in American Heritage tartan (PV material) from USAKilts.

Dang! I should have thought of that. I will have to work on making a tri-corder sporran. By the way, the pin and shirt came from ThinkGeek.

I have heard that kilts are not un-common at Sci-Fi conventions. Try to capture some pictures if you see any at the Houston show.
