New Kilt On the Way...
The wifey might kill me, but as a friend of mine just put it, at least I've got something to be buried in. It's a cheaper one, but I've got everything I need for casual wear (especially for here in the States).
Tell me what you think:

Comes with free flashes; I've already got some oatmeal colored hose. Also have the standard belt (as seen on the mannequin picured in the above link).
I decided to go with the acrylic fiber, seeing as we have the newborn, hopefully it won't stain as easy and it'll be easier to maintain. The pleats are also easier to hold as compared to wool.
Cheers!

It's a great kilt...you'll be happy with it...a very nice tartan.
As to the acrylic being any more stain resistant than wool....weeeelllll...it's true that, being synthetic, an acrylic fiber never really absorbs anything but I recently heard the company spokesman for the outfit that just made the new rug for the Oval office in the White House assure the interviewer that if Bo, the dog, does anything nasty to it, the rug, being 100% American wool, will clean up spit-spot (thank you, Mary Poppins). And not to disillusion you but my experience with both wool and acrylic has shown that wool has the edge in terms of creases coming out easily. Blasphemy though it may be, PV may combine the best qualities of both the wool and the acrylic.

So I'm sitting at work, the wifey shows up with the box, and after she left, I walked back in and opened 'er up. O. M. G. I've never HAD such a comfy kilt! I LOVE the liner around the inside. Has a great swing, great weight, I didn't realize that it would be that heavy though! It just feels right. I love the tartan as well... simple brown belt, simple brown sporran, oatmeal color hose (not traditional hose by any means) with brown Doc Martens.
Pictures (hopefully soon) to come!

I love my Stillwater Kilts kilts. Truth is, though, that the wool holds the pleats a lot better. Enjoy the acrylic! They're great first kilts. Next upgrade to the wool! You will be very happy that you did! Viva SWK!! I may have to wear my MacKenzie tomorrow...
