Casually formal, kilted at a bladesmithing seminar
This last weekend I attended the New England Bladesmith's Guild anual meet at the Ashokan center in Olivebridge NY. (In short usually just called the Ashokan blade seminar)
There I met up with Stacy Apelt FSA Scot, and we wore our kilts saturday during the demos and lectures. We finished the evening by turning the tailgate of my truck into a bar for fine scotches, and having a great tasting with everyone around.
One of the atendees is a fantastic photographer and he wanted to get a photo of me as I was walking around. He snapped this photo saturday and sent me a copy of it this morning. I was dressed 'casually formal' jacket and tshirt (real men wear kilts) sneakers and kilt hose.

Here was the tailgate of my truck and some of the whisk(e)y we had available

Scotches:
Springbank 21
Ardbeg Supernova Committe bottling
Lagavulin 16
Jura Superstition
Balvenie 21
Unknown distillery 'very fine old scotch' bottled in 1908, opened in 2009
Burbon/rye/irish
Readbreast 12
Sazarac Rye
Pappy Van Winkle 20
Buffalo Trace infused cherries
A fantastic time was had by all =)
