I've found over the years that, due to its short-waisted construction (and military origins) a leather "bomber" style jacket looks quite sharp with the kilt on casual occasions. So does a nice classic "windbreaker" style. I just got one of the latter today and thought I'd toss it out there as an exampe. It's this one:

Out of the shipping box it looks every bit as nice as the photo might lead one to hope, and has a buttery-soft texture that I've already found women want to stroke.
