Hello from Wales
This is actually my second post. I have followed this site for some time before registering. Having married an American and lived in the USA for 28 years I returned to Britain a few years ago. My male line is entirely Scots, and I lived in Aberdeen for a while, although I grew up in England. I've worn kilts for decades (I have nine, all wool, eight yards or so, and tartan) but there is always more to learn and this forum is a good place for that. So, hello to y'all.

Hi, Scholar, and welcome from the bottom end of Africa.
Being a Scot, you don’t have to pay any attention to Welsh tartans, but you might like to acquire a souvenir of your time in that country.
And you will need to meet up with Trefor and Derek, and any other kilties in the neighbourhood.
Regards,
Mike
