identify a tartan or two
Hi:
New to the list, was hoping someone could suggest how I could identify a couple of tartan samples I just purchased.
More out of curiosity than anything else, always nice to know what the tartan is.
I have tried the two tartan books I have with no luck.
Thanks for any and all suggestions
I would attach them to this message, but NOT quite sure how to do that, or if we are allowed!!

Hello,
If you would like to find out how to add pictures to your posts please follow this link to our FAQ's.
http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...s_faq_pictures
To post a picture you must first upload it to somewhere on the web. This can be one of the on-line photo hosting sites such as photobucket or your own website.
I'm sure our Tartan experts would be happy to help you identify your Tartans.

Anyhow, any chance, IF, I send YOU the two pictures I have you could post them???
Sorry, yeah I know I am new, but I thought this would be an easy project.....and really had my fingers crossed that it would be a no brainer for someone out there to look at and say..........well DARN!!! that's ______ tartan.

Here are your two scans.
the first one is the Alberta Provincial Tartan.

Thanks very much for identifying the tartans.
I wouldn't have got them, even though I had tried checking through google and thinking they MIGHT be provincial tartans.
The Alberta one looks totally different, to me, on google.
But glad you were able to nail them done.
Well done.
