all black kilt with fly plaid

what woudl go better in an all black kilt with plaid a white eveine sporran or grey? not rabbit ur but seal or calf.....for an opera...and do you think t wear the kilt at an opera would bother some poeple..in which i odnt car eif it did or not lol

First up, try running your post thru a spell checker that was difficult to read.
I Think a flyplaid would be a bit much and I would pick a grey sporran with a black tie outfit

I wore my kilt to see a play at the Hippodrome in Baltimore. Yes, It was Young Frankenstein, but I still enjoyed it. Kilt with white shirt and tie w/Argyll jacket. A lot of people made positive comments about the kilt. Especailly one young women that begged her boyfriend to get a kilt. He was not happy with me, but his girlfriend really, REALLY like it.

The fly plaid is too much. It really should match the tartan kilt.

both the fly plaid and kilt match, just plain black.....nah i will wear the fly plaid after all it is vienna and i will be commin out of a 5 star hotel, yes its no castle but hey what can i say lol...............and i will be stepping out of a limo into the state opera house.....but yes while piping wearign kilt or just wearing a kilt on its own...you gets lots of compliments by women..and lots of jealous looks by the boyfreinds or men who make ignorant remarks....pliments from the male side as well

but it seems lots of you are not agreeing with a fly plaid...any reason for this? is it just your own prefrences?

You will find differing opinions here about fly plaids Joey!

I happen to be one who likes to wear a fly plaid but it depends on the circumstances - you will see that I am wearing one (Robertson Hunting Ancient like my kilt) on my avatar when I had the honour of addressing the Haggis.

But as Frank says - it should match the tartan of the kilt. This provides contrast but this would be lost with a black kilt, black plaid and black PC.
