Go Texas Rangers
Sorry for my bias gentlemen...but tonight starts the World Series with my Texas Rangers matched up against the San Francisco Giants. In the Rangers' 38 years history, the team has never made it to the World Series and had only previously made it once to the post season where they did not make it beyond round one of the play offs.
I've lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas for 21 years and have attended numerous Rangers' games; in their new stadium as well as in their old ballpark. I'm just giddy as a school girl that the team has finally made it to the World Series.
GO RANGERS!

Congrats to the Texas Rangers! I was rooting for them, although I am primarily an Astros fan. GO RANGERS!

Kind of ironic for me - the only two Major League games I've ever attended were in San Francisco and Dallas...long time ago for both though.
Rangers are looking VERY sharp. Gonna be a tough road for the Giants.

Since Nolan Ryan was an Astro before a Ranger, there's a natural link (not to mention the whole State of Texas thing) that allows Astro fans to root for the Rangers. Go Rangers!

Well, I had a chance to buy 3 tickets for Saturday's game from a colleague at work, but my two brothers are not up for it. Sticks-in-mud, them!

Did you buy the tickets and if so do you have substitutes for your brothers?

Of course the Astros can lay claim to the greatest uniform ever!

Since Nolan Ryan was a Met before he was either, that must explain why I was rooting for the Rangers in the ALCS. And since the Giants showed the poor taste of moving out of New York, I suppose that I can continue the trend in the World Series. :P
