    The Chuck Taylor... Brogue?

While I am a fan of a good pair of Chuck Taylor All Stars and other Converse shoes, I can't say I feel they go well with a kilt.

Though Converse seems to be working to make them a better match:

Living where I do, I have seen a good many Chuck T's paired more with modern kilts (Utilikilts in particular), and even a few with tartan kilts.

Those really aren't a bad looking shoe (IMO). It wouldn't surprise me to see someone pair them with a kilt soon

I think they'd look better with a sole that wasn't white.

BTW: They're not Chuck Taylors, they're Jack Purcells (yes, I am THAT guy. )

Well, I think our Welsh XMarker kiltie, Derek pulls them off rather well, IMHO.

You know, I actually don't mind those. I think I could see myself wearing them.

I think I'd probably go for them with a black or brown sole. The white just doesn't look quite right, but that's just me.

    Pretty snazzy idea though.
