Hello from NC
I am an American of primarily Gaelic Irish and Highlander Scottish descent currently living in North Carolina. I do not own any kilts but I am deeply interested in my heritage, the history and culture that come with it. I am a Spanish major at college, and posess an advanced beginner's grasp of the Irish language. I am glad to have found this forum, and look forward to hearty discussion!

Hi, Tairdhealbhach, and welcome to X Marks from the bottom end of Africa.
I studied German and Afrikaans-Nederlands at university – as does your Spanish, this field of study helps my communication with people in my country.
Like you I do not own a kilt, but intend to remedy that lack in about two months’ time.
While I am not of Irish descent, my wife is (she also has a bit of Jewish). The mixture of Irish, Jewish, Scottish, English, German and some other elements can be a bit fiery at times!
Regards,
Mike
