This maybe what you are looking for, however check out Dalkeith Palace on the outskirts of Edinburgh and also Branxholme Castle which are both seats for Clan Scott.
How do you disperse an angry Scottish mob?
Nae bother - just take up a collection.

Aikwood Tower is supposed to open in the spring of 2011 as a bed and breakfast. It is a peel tower built around 1540 by the Scotts of Aikwood.
It is a pricey though.

Actually I am not a Scott although my web-name does cause confusion from time to time, sorry. Anyway the home of Sir Walter Scott at Abbotsford is well worth a visit and the various homes of the Duke of Buccleuch (the head of Clan Scott I believe) too. Drumlanrig Castle, near Dumfries, is a place that I would most certainly recommend a visit to.

Sorry, I linked a different thread than Iw as thinking of above. This one:
http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...ans-1-a-53419/
has pictures of some castles that have belonged to clan Scott.
Sorry, my office firewall doesn't let me see pictures, I was guessing based on the text and in a hurry.

Jock is correct. The Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry is indeed the recognized Chief of the name Scott (as it is worded by Lord Lyon). The Scotts of Buccleuch are the main branch of Clan Scott. Sir Walter Scott is from a cadet branch, the Scotts of Harden. His Grace's main home is Bowhill, just W of Selkirk off A708. As mentioned, His Grace also owns Dalkeith Palace (currently leased to U of Wisconsin, on the SE side of Edinburgh, just off A720), Drumlanrig Castle (N of Dumfries off A76) and Boughton House (in England, NE of Kettering), among others.
Other Scott-related places are Abbotsford (once home to Sir Walter), Newark Castle, Dryhope Tower, Kirkhope Tower, Aikwood Tower (which is near Bowhill & soon to be a B&B), and Smailholm Tower (now a state-run museum).
Check out the Clan Scott Society website (www.clanscottsociety.org) if you haven't already. There's a lot more info there about Clan Scott, its (sometimes former) holdings and its role in the Borders.
I'm a member of Clan Scott Society, Inc. (USA).
