I'm reposting this to help make the announcement accessible:

In fact, make it so. If anyone wishes an X Marks Tie please place your order directly with;
http://www.bows-n-ties.com/dark-blue-ties.php
Look on the left menu for Dark Blue Ties.
Scroll down to item SB2025. 15th row down, far left.
It has been almost three years that this has been a topic of much discussion on the forum. It is now decided and can be put to rest.
Here is the direct link to the tie's page, so people don't have to scroll down and find it:

These folks will do it, and seem to have lots of experience. There's a forum member who also posted on the topic but I can't remember the particulars.
Proudly Duncan [maternal], MacDonald and MacDaniel [paternal].

Man! My Dad and I just ordered some ties from those guys like 4 days ago!
Oh well, It's a good choice, and a fine solution to the XMTS necktie saga. I'll get one coming soon!
Order of the Dandelion, The Houston Area Kilt Society, Bald Rabble in Kilts, Kilted Texas Rabble Rousers, The Flatcap Confederation, Kilted Playtron Group.

That's probably, "DIY Bow Tie," by pdcorlis:

Hope that helps a little.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

As to bow ties, if you're in the US, I've had very good experiences with the Cordial Churchman. http://thecordialchurchman.bigcartel.com/ Her prices are quite good, and her work and service are stellar.
