the Ignorance of people and the Power of the kilt
well today i am off school and work, we have friends comming over for dinner.
so the wife gives me a shopping list for sams and publix... off i go, i went to publix first and as im walking around the store some jackwagon proceeds to tell me his knowledge of celtic history and that im not wearing it right if im not regimental lol so i ask him if he wears a kilt on a regular basis he tells me no, so i told him "tis better to keep one's mouth shut and be thought a fool then to open it and remove all doubt" lol that shut him up quick.
off i go to sams right down the road and they dont have all i need to back to publix i go... as im waiting in line this older woman gets my attention and slips me her number lol she then tells me she likes younger men and especiually men in kilts and would love to answer the age old question wow... i was speechless lol i am married so i threw the number out ahh the power of the kilt lol.

It used to make me giggle. But, it's starting to pi$$ me off when some fool in trousers attempts to "educate" me.
I like the response, "oh, you seem knowledgeable... how often do you wear the kilt?" This comment must be delivered with absolutely no hint of sarcasm for maximum effect.

Also, I take no personal credit ('cause I ain't that attractive). However, the kilt is a chick magnet.

Magnet for sure, as he smiles from ear to ear.

Sometimes you just gotta laugh at people like that, and there really seems to be no shortage of the cunningly challanged. I try to kill em with kindness, not so much for thier benefit as mine. I just entertain the thought that most of those that bust on ya just don't have the bollocks to wear one themselves, and they really really want to.
My theory is that some of the fairer sex like the men in a kilt because such a lad has to have the confidence to do it, not just to wear a tank but to knowlingly make themselves a focal point.

Definitely a response along those lines seems like a good way to go. I like that it acknowledges their "expertise" while simultaneously drawing attention to the fact that they're an idiot. I do agree...minimal sarcasm for maximum effect.

With great power comes great responsibility. Use it for good, not for evil my friend.
Just so you know, having a really cute(takes after his Mom on that) 14 month old son toddling along with you multiplies the kilt's effects by a factor of ten.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.
