Chicago Scots Pub Crawl this Saturday

My nephew Seamus and I are heading to the North Side for the Chicago Scots Pub Crawl this Saturday, April 9. It's sponsored by the Illinois St. Andrew's Society. Maybe we can get a few of the rabble to show up. Registration starts at 5:30 pm at Toons (3857 N. Southport). You save $5 by registering in advance using the link above.

I'm still stalling on this one...my wife has to go out of town the next day on her BIG annual conference and getting her ready and packed is a family effort. You know me well enough to know that it must be important if it's keeping me out of a pub. If there's any way...I'll try...

You don't have to have advance tickets - just costs an additional $5 at the door. We'll be happy to see you if you show. My nephew James (Seamus - Turp's son) will be there too.

Grrr...I'd love to be able to make it. I'm actually going to be not too far from the area this weekend, but I won't be able to get away, plus I'll be dragging the laptop and research notes along to work on another paper due this coming Tuesday :-( However, if anything should come up after June 9th, it's actually a possibility (my last day of classes before I graduate--woohoo!)
