Houston Tartan Day
Well, sorry to say I don't have a really cool photo essay for my tartan day, in the past the Houston events have ranged from "lets get together at the pub" to nice public presentations at City Hall or the San Jacinto monument.
The deal for this year was an evening reception during the Scottish country dance club meeting at the Houston Odd Fellows hall.
Here's a timer shot of how I dressed; I had to dress up in case Jack Daw shows up to outclass me!
I went with the Texas Bluebonnet tartan.

In addition to their regular dance schedule, they had nice presentation about the history of Tartan Day, as well as a piper and a local folk duo. I had a dinner engagement later on so I could only stay for an hour or so, but I did enjoy the piper, who I'm sad to say was the only other guy there in a kilt
at least while I was there...

Sort of underwhelming, but Happy Tartan Day!
