I guess the author of article lives under a rock.

I actually took the time to search some of the comments on that story... It amazes me how only one person on there actually called it a "kilt". To me, it looked like either a very well made X-Kilt or an actual camo Utilikilt... Either way... holy wow, people can be ignorant.

If I were going to where a skirt, I think I'd choose something a little less revealing
I have never whorn a skirt in my life. Nor do I ever intend on whering such a garment. Each to their own, though. Everyone may feel free to where what they please.
Sigh. What do they teach in English class these days?

The first time I wore my Camouflage kilt out a lady came up and asked me if that was a skirt or a kilt, I replied “what do you think the Scottish Army wear when they go war you don't think they wear their best tartan kilts do you” her reply was "I didn't know that"

Nasty! Now you've started a rumour that will circulate around the world, infiltrate all the newspapers and magazines, end up on worldwide television, and soon be believed by every human on the planet.
Or not. ![Hide](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/hide.gif)

Father Bill! Please tell me you are not advocating the telling of non-truth! ![Eh](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/eh.gif)
Considering how funny it would be to actually see such a pile of malarkey grow from off-hand remark to full-grown rumor and finally blossom into accepted "fact" I'd have to give it my thumbs up.

When I was out on Tartan Day I met a lady who didn't know what a tartan was and, although she recognised the kilt, she didn't know the name of it or that it was okay for men to wear (I've stopped telling people it's actually for men and it's okay for women to wear it).

I had a debate with a prof one day: I was saying that the accurate use of the language is important, he said it wasn't.
"We have to value other people's ideas, even if that person doesn't use the language well."
"That may be true but, if the language is not used accurately, the valuable idea may not be understood."
I wrote on the board 'there home' and asked "What is that supposed to mean?" He said that was a bad example (although it's one I see constantly) and insisted that he was right. A university professor who insisted that poor use of the language was a good thing. What chance do we have? Their is going two bee know hope four hour language if wee keep this up.

That could quite possibly be the most brilliant myth ever started and virtually impossible to disprove! ![Cheers!](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_beer.gif)
"I've never seen Scottish soldiers in camo kilts."
"Exactly"
Nice job.
