One of the finest pipe band medleys I've ever heard!
As a Bagpiper since the age of 8 (I'm 40 now...gulp), I have seen EXTRAORDINARY piping in my day by masters of the craft, as well as the best pipe bands across the worlds. For those of you who might not be involved in the piping world, "Grade 1" pipe bands are the best that come and these bands usually bring forth musicianship that sets standards for the rest of the piping world. The 78th Frasers were one such band that really brought into view a new standard of band piping in the mid 80's that was innovative, technical and sheer genius. Today this standard has been met and built upon by Grade 1 bands, and it is always a joy for me to hear really good piping. I came across the competition medley by the Toronto Police Pipe Band that was REALLY fantastic and probably the best mixed medley I've heard in a long time. Their tuning and execution is flawless, as well as some really nice 2nd & 3rd harmonies throughout the performance. Check them out-Really nice-
