At least the community leaders are listening to their community for a change. They don't know what they're missing, though- TK calimari is excellent!!

So I guess you don't have a Hooters either? Perhaps Tilted Kilt could find a place in Richmond.

Tilted Kilts seem to thrive in the Chicago area....there's one downtown and at least one in a Southwestern suburb near me. Haven't been to either...in civvies or in a kilt.

My son does trivia on Wednesday nights at the one downtown...I threatened to show up to watch and got a stern warning to NOT wear a kilt..."...I don't know if you've ever been in this place, but it's actually a really serious sports bar...". But then, that's my son...

Evanston is a Northern suburb and they have some issues about keeping the "tone" of their wonderful community up. They also have the added burden of dealing with all of those horrible Northwestern University students and their wild behaviour.

The people that work there wear kilts! How could anyone NOT expect a customer to wear a kilt as well?

I visited a Tilted Kilt yesterday for the first time, it was in Woodridge I believe. And while the women were lovely and lovely to look at what they were wearing was in no way a kilt, not even a kilted skirt. But kudo's to an attempt to look like kilts. they all had white knee socks with little red flashes and wore a chain sporran belt with a small sporran wore off the right hip to carry their notepads and pens in. I think I'll show up in a kilt next week.

Oh I should say that there was a Bartender and a bus boy that both wore what appeared to be a sportkilt style black kilt.

My wife and I have been to several TK's and enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I always am kilted, get hugs and kudus from the female staff and high 5's from male side. We even took our Son, Daughter-in-Law along with our 10 year old grandson and 2 year old grand daughter to one in the Bermingham AL area. The DiL was apprehensive at first but enjoyed the experience. We have had several one-on-one conversations with the girls and they all were intellegent and well spoken. Not a "hussy" in the bunch. Go, enjoy the food and the scenery.
