First X-Kilt: RevK Urban Camo
Hello everyone. New guy here, my name is Matt. Been lurking here for awhile, and I want to thank each and every one of you for the information, hints, tips, and knowledge you have blessed everyone with. I learned SO much from reading everyone's posts its AMAZING. I especially want to thank Alan, for without his guide, I would have NEVER tackled such a project. after reading ~200 posts, I finally mustered up the courage to give it a try.
I wanted a UK for a long time but the cost always deterred me. Not because I didn't think it would be worth it, but it just seemed so expensive. I stumbled upon the first revision of the guide some time ago, but the box pleats didn't appeal to me. The pleats on the UK was one of the reasons I wanted to purchase one. So i shelved it and didn't think anything more of making one, and figured I'd bite the bullet and order one. That too did pass. But in the back of my head I always had the thought of making one. So I came back here after some time began to read posts again, and made the discovery of the newest revision. This is where another HUGE thanks goes out to sydnie7 for your WONDERFUL addendum. Between Alan's original guide and your revk instructions, I finally had a roadmap of what I wanted!
It's a RevK X-Kilt with 20 pleats ( I am a "gentleman of substance" as you call it. lol), 2" full waistband, 10" over-apron, and I fitted it using the slope method from the Wizard. Here a HUGE thanks goes out to you to making me realize this was essential to my kilt fitting how i wanted. I wanted that "swish = swagger = swoon" effect sydnie7 talked about in the guide, also coined by the Wizard I believe, so it has 2" pleat, 3" pleat depth. And had just enough material to do it. I apologize in advance for the pic quality, all I have is my cell phone. Enough of my yammering, here are the pics:

I've read this one is obligatory

again, everyone, thank you SO much! I am extremely pleased how this turned out and I'm already planning a black one next.
