Hello from Georgia
My name is Margaret and I joined X Marks when I saw on a Yahoo Answers post that they were helpful with kilt making and how to wear one and so on. I said to myself "why not?" and joined up.
I just recently made my own kilt, although it's experimental and not made with any sort of Tartan in mind. It has turned out OK, but I think I could do better. I plan on trying again for dad for a late Fathers Day gift.
While my family was visiting with my grandfather in Maryland we found that my great great grandfather was a Cunningham. When I got home I researched the Cunningham clan and found one of the most interesting stories and wanted to be a part.
Right now I am about to sign for the National Guard in July and am waiting to go to basic after my first semester of College at North Georgia and State University.
Hoping to have lots of help with kilt making and wearing,
Margaret

Hi from St Louis, Missouri.
I am thinking about wading into the art of kilt making myself here very soon, based on the inspiration I've gotten from other on this site.

Welcome to the forum. I've been to Brooklet.
You might want to take a look at the X-Kilt thread at the top of the DIY Showroom forum, which gives instructions for one type of DIY kilt that many people have made. I'm about to make my first.
Thanks for your service to our country.
