Kilt/Baseball Team Affiliation?

So, I was headed into the local pub on Friday night, kilted and with a NY Yankees polo shirt on. As I entered a woman declared to me, "With a kilt you should be wearing a Red Sox shirt!"

Assuming she was thinking: Boston = lots of Irish folks = kilts, I could only respond, "There's plenty of Celtic people in New York, too!"

The fun never ends when wearing a kilt in public...!

Just tell them it is for the Yankees original name- The New York Highlanders.

The Phillies wear green hats on St. Patrick's Day and their green/white shirts look great with any kilt. Lots of Celtic nations represented in Pennsylvania too.
