Vacationed just north of Belieze in Quintana Roo last year. Took a bunch of USA Casuals. Flew down and back in them, wore nothing but kilts the whole time. VERY comfy in the hot humid weather. They did well in the wind too.
When in the tourist shopping areas the locals would hollar out, "Hey William Wallace!!" but politely and in an effort to get me over to see their wares.
Have also worn my USA casuals in the humidity and heat of Maui. They are the perfect antidote.
Leave your pants home next trip.
