Benefit for Autism Society of NW Ohio
I know there are a few people out there that have an interest in issues relating to autism, so I thought I would post some information about a benefit that is coming up in the NW Ohio area.
On July 15th there is going to be a blues concert in Maumee, Ohio to benefit the Autism Society of NW Ohio. The band performing is the Homemade Jamz Blues Band. They bill themselves as the "youngest blues band in America."
Autism Society of NW Ohio has tickets for sale on their website if anyone is interested.
I've got an interest in the show since my son was recently diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum and I'm also helping a little with organizing it.

We're too far away here in Missouri to attend, but I wanted to thank you for helping to organize this, and letting folks here on this site know about it.
Every little bit to raise Autism awareness is a good thing, spoken as another parent of a child with autism.

Shoot, I have to work a training that night. How late is the event expected to run?
And, definitely agree - need to increase awareness of the Autism Spectrum, spoken as someone who is on the spectrum.

We have a planning meeting tomorrow so I will ask how late it should run.
I really liked the idea of a kilt pin for autism awareness that I saw in a previous thread. If I could get something that looked good between now and the show I would so be kilted that evening.
