Too many kilts....
Sadly, this is what happens to ventilated shelving when it is asked to hold up too many kilts. I was sitting in my office today when I heard a loud noise from the master bedroom, and went in to find this had happened. My wife has already picked up the kilts and piled them on the bed (thanks honey!).
Of course she thinks this might be a good time for me to sell off some I don't wear to lighten the load!

Actually you need MORE kilts. If you had more kilts they would have been wedged in between the walls and the shelf would not have been able to fall.
If you get that one past the wife you owe me a beer.....

What you really need is 3" coarse-thread screws driven into the studs in the wall holding the shelf up. Then you could buy a truckload of kilts and the shelf wouldn't budge.

The only way I could possibly agree that you have too many kilts if say you wore a size 38 waist and had kilts in a 26" length, and think they would be happy in Ohio. If that's not the case I agree that heavier duty hardware is the order of the day.

When you say "too many kilts" is that some kind of code speak for "I need more kilts"? Because the sentence makes no sense otherwise!

Like! Thumbs up! Always need more kilts, even if I have some that are no longer part of the active "herd" due to closet shrinkage!
Anybody else notice that kilts left unworn in a closet tend to shrink?

A HERD needs acres of land so your closet is no way big enough!
I think kilts breed!
