    Doublejones! Highscore!

My tailor has informed me my black argyle alterations (12" drop, swapping metal diamond buttons for black oak rounds) will be complete tomorrow or sometime early next week.

I've ordered my own Mackie bonnet in Royal Blue with white dicing... I've got a bit longer to wait on that one.

OF course, it's just too darn warm to wear any of those items this time of year... but I still can't wait to have them in my possession.

    Similar boat...

    waiting on:

    1 tailor-made regulation doublet.

    and

    1 5-yard Lochcarron heavy-weight Gunn weathered kilt!

    Almost too much to bear...

    Cheers!

I got the argyle back friday. Disappointingly, while he did a great job with getting the measurements right, he decided to leave the diamond argyle buttons on the pockets while swapping out the buttons on the jacket, sleeves, and epaulettes with black rounded suit-buttons... his reasoning was that the other buttons did not require him to make additional cuts into the liner (he had to cut/re-stitch to accommodate the resize), whereas the buttons on the liner required a cut that wouldn't have been restitched. So now I get to cut the pocket buttons off and replace them.
