Just Ordered my First Kilt!
Just placed an order for a USAK Casual kilt in the Clan Campbell Tartan. I went with the True Waist instead of the Jeans waist - I decided I just like the traditional look better. Also got some blue hose & red flashes to go with it. I'm not sure how the red will look, but they were on sale
I sure hope I measured correctly!
Can't wait for it to show up!
If it shows up in time, hopefully I'll be sporting it at the Ventura Games in October!

Well done!
You can't go wrong with red flashes. Lovat green hose are another standby.

You'll be in love ...
And you might not want to take it off.

You're going to thank yourself for a wise purchase! Wear it with pride and have fun...I'm a slightly shy guy, but I expand when I'm kilted!

I have to agree with you, as I too, am a slightly shy person. But I do open up a bit more when kilted. Just ask my friends who were at a get together where I was kilted. They will tell you I was less of a wallflower than usual.

My kilt finally arrived! It looks great! I took a couple of pictures, but they're not great, when I get a decent pic I'll post it!

OK - Here's a pic of the new kilt. It is slightly large, I think, but I'm sure that's due to my measuring. Its a 38" waist & a 24" length, I probably could have done with a 37 & 23, I guess I just need to gain some weight. I do think its going to be super comfortable for throwing in & I'm really happy with the belt and buckle I ordered (also from USA Kilts).
The hose are blue (although they look black in the picture) and I have red flashes, which I think look good. I took a pic from the back as well, but it came out blurry, I'll try to get another.
The Tartan is Campbell Ancient.

Looks good! Don't be afraid to hike it up just a bit either.
Of course, now comes the accessorizing part, which is highly addictive. No support group will be able to help you, and we of course, are just a bunch of enablers. There is no escape.

I am just a little north of you... I agree it looks nice, and agree with the suggestion that you could wear the kilt a little higher. Another personal suggestion is at least in the pic the hose look a tad high to me, but again that is a personal opinion not in any way suggesting there is anything amiss.
I like the colors of your tartan and enjoy the kilt!
