    What tartan is this?

The gentleman said this was a variant of Buchanan but I don't recognize it.
Can anyone tell me what tartan this is - sorry for the poor photo.

Its not Barclay Dress. It appears to have the same thread count, but I think I see a red stripe in there.

    Re: What tartan is this?

I guessing just from looking at the outfit that this was something sold to him by a company who does mostly Ren-Fair type costumes and they labelled it as a "Buchanan variant" because it has similar proportions of red, yellow and green.

But I doubt that it is an actual Buchanan tartan, based just on what I can make out in the photo.

Thanks - it seems he thought it might be the MacGregor-Hastie Variant but it clearly isn't right for that.

Two to one it's an unnamed fashion tartan.
